Sue Best - Analyst, Technical Author, Project Manager, Process and Test Specialist

Profile

Sue has over 30 years blue chip IT experience in writing, managerial and technical roles. Experience has been spread across the whole development lifecycle, from initial concept and bid processes to delivery, implementation, training and support. Recent roles have been in technical writing, project management and testing. Other experience includes system development, build and configuration, analysis, quality management and training.

As an experienced Project Leader and Manager, Sue has held a wide range of pivotal roles in specifying, developing and managing IT implementations. She has led teams within both hierarchical and matrix managed organisations, to deliver a wide range of software and infrastructure developments for major banks and other organisations. She has good commercial awareness and proven skills in communication, planning, budgeting, progress tracking and issue management.

Sue has 15 years experience as a Business Analyst within the financial services arena, in both lead and supporting roles driving change on mission critical banking systems.

As a Test Specialist, Sue has taken the lead role in planning, managing and delivering software and infrastructure testing for numerous implementations and certification programmes. Her strong technical background makes her a good hands-on tester with excellent trouble shooting and diagnosis skills.

As a Technical Author, Sue writes concise and objective material ranging from design and support documents through user guides, training materials and on-screen-help to procedures, functional descriptions, scripts and plans. Audiences have included customers, business users, senior managers, support and development personnel. Her depth of experience across the IT industry enables her to quickly assimilate information on new areas and select the key audience requirements.

Sue is a team player known for her organisational, planning and analytical expertise. She has a wealth of experience in corporate processes including definition and use of change and quality management procedures.
